I have recently joined the Forum. My name is Lou and I am from Melbourne.

Reading through the various threads I have found lots of excellent information about woodworking, I hope that I will be able to make some good contribution in the near future too.

As an industrial chemist I have considerable experience in stains and varnishes having worked for a number of years for Wattyl Paints and the Dulux Group ( Cabots & Feast Watson).

My main areas of interests are woodturing and wood engraving.
