Hello from a strictly amateur. Just bought a DW 7491 Table saw and a DW 735XE Thicknesser.

Having fun.

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum.....
There are a stack members around Brisbane and cross South East Queensland plus the rest of the country.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork......
Cheers crowie

PS - You say your an amateur but you have a very professional thicknesser in that Dewalt DW735, top machine.
Worth considering an upgrade of the 3 blade cutterhead to a Byrd Shelix Cutterhead.
I did mine 6 years ago and wow, so much quieter with hand smooth finish even on reclaimed Aussie hardwood.

Welcome, I grew up on the Peninsula and you have a fantastic mens shed there too on Oxley Ave. I live about 12 minutes away and although I dont come to Redcliffe much these days, we could always catch up if you like.

Thanks Crowie,
I reckon I'll see what I can do with the blades that come with the m/c before anything else. I have been impressed with the results so far; I have just ordered feed in/out tables for the thicknesser. My Dewalt 7491 might have a slight heel problem, I have also ordered a dial gauge so I can check and adjust.
