Just introducing myself to the forum. I live in Washington, DC, in a condominium. My workshop is my roof deck, which means that all of my tools need to be portable, However, a new house with a modest sized workshop is in the works, in Stowe, Vermont — hence the username. Nice to meet you all!

G'Day & Welcome to the Great Southern Land and to a top forum......
There are quite a few members from across the USA and the rest of the world.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Especially a top mob of blokes on the toymaking & scale modeling section of the forum.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork.....
Cheers from On Top DownUnder, crowie

PS - I hope your rooftop shed has covering from the snow....been a cold winter in North America from reports...

No shed for tools I'm afraid. No room. All tools are stored inside in systainers. I use a small portable multifunction table, track saws, hand planes, routers, sanders and a small planer that I can carry in and out. Been quite cold, necessitating the use of heated gloves and socks and multiple layers. Was out last weekend in 10 degree F weather. I will not be deterred!

A hearty welcome. The best part of having a workshop on the roof deck is that you won't have a dust problem - especially when it's blowing at 50+
