In-laws are away for a few days and the wife is assigned to feed the cat. Anyway while I was working on the bookshelves in their house, the bastard came up to me and gave me this most irritating “miaw”.

Oh maybe he is hungry or something. Then the devil in me told me to give him some food. So I did that and filled up the water too.

Damn I still cannot believe that I actually fed a CAT.:( And can’t they just eat left-over instead of Tuna?

In my house, SWMBO has a cat, little miss is supposed to feed it everyday, but it always ends up sucking up to me for food cause no-one feeds the damn thing. Least when I had my dog, I feed my own animal.

They too are god's creatures. Destructive, seemingly selfish, left in the bush they do untold damage to the environment.:(

I hate cruelty of any sort so either feed the cat or put it out of it's misery humanely - don't torture the poor things.

You are therefore forgiven Brother Wongo now get back to Darksiding.:D

I could lend you my dog. He's got three cats so far. Last one cost me $700 cause it was said to be some sort of rare pedigree. They were going to go for pain and suffering too!

Cats are such awful creatures, the latest one used to come and torment Jake (my dog not Silent) thru the fence. One day the gate wasn't closed and bye bye moggy. Not worth $700 tho, but did enjoy it a bit.

Only creatures worse are foxes, rampant, vicious and sadistic killers, if thats not lapsing into pseudoanthropomorphism too much. I just love the anti fox hunting bleeding hearts and assorted animal libbers going on about foxes. Should show them what the chook house looks like after a fox has had a go.

The foxes decimate our chooks too, not content with one, kill the lot and take one.
We hear them coming in and if we are quick enough, Ferret the Fox Terrier gets right into them, followed by one rotund Corgi and a Jack Russell.

My son feeds the furball - only, of course, he's always late. The cat, like all it's kind, demands to be fed early. But, instead of bugging 'he who fills the bowl', he bugs ME ... because he's worked that if he bugs me, I'll bug the lad who then fills the bowl  Don't tell me they're stupid.

Many years ago my sister's Siamese was on my shoulders when I accidentally electrocuted myself (long story and you won't get to hear it). The cat fell off my shoulders onto its head, then, after a second or two, it spat at everything in sight and ran sideways up a wall and through a window.

Following that little episode, that I didn't tell my sister about, I could make that cat do things that just weren't natural. For instance, I could sneak up close and go "Bzzzzztttt" and touch the cat. She would then do a ten foot leap under an eight foot ceiling.

I still have the scars in my shoulders, but no more cat.

Being a fully paid up member of the CHU (Cat Haters Union), I was quite interested in a discussion among a group of cockies in the Narromine Services Club recently. Those blokes don't mess around when it comes to feral cats on their properties. One fellow even complained that he has to keep replacing the flywire on his screen door because if he opens it to shoot them, it gives them warning and they're harder to hit while running away, so he just shoots through it. Another carries a .22 everywhere in his ute and shoots any cat on sight if it's on his farm. Cat lovers get little sympathy in the bush!images/icons/icon10.gifimages/icons/icon10.gifimages/icons/icon10.gif

Do the cats live in the sewers with the alligators?

Always doubted the Kentucky Fried Cat myth, and the local Chinese cat stuff. If you ran a restaurant, would'nt it be cheaper and easier to buy a few chickens, than corner, kill, dress and joint a cat?

OK, you may be able to sell the pelt to Davy Crockett wannabees for headwear, but really.

Having said that - I had a big feed of dog when last in Korea, so maybe it's a gourmet thing?

What a pack of heathen anti-cat people. :D

I am a cat owner...yes, that's right. I own a cat.
She is a purebred Himalayan (sp?).
Every morning after she is fed, she comes over to where I am putting my socks and boots on. She smooches and rolls and enjoys a scruffing.

This is her time with her Daddy.
The rest of Daddies time is taken up by our Pomeranian Puppy who loves his cat sister. They play and eat together.

And at the end of the day, They come and lay one each side of me in the recliner.

Life is Good...Eh?

Hooroo.

Wongo,

Do you want to borrow the 3 dogs, they really like cats......so much so that they play tug off war with them in the back yard. Now we don't have a cat problem and all the wild birds have come back, suprisingly the dogs don't bother with them, they now have moved on to trying to steal the chooks food.

G'day Wongo,

Put that cat to go use. If you're going to feed it then train it to catch the odd chisel, lump of wood or iron anvil as it falls off your bench. :D

All creatures great and small but some just not in my backyard thanks.
