Apparently your sense of smell and sense of taste are two important factors that are affected should you get a dose of Covid.
Simple home test as follows.

Take the lid off a stubby of beer and have a sniff.
If you can smell the beer, good stuff.

Next, have a taste of the beer.
If you can taste the beer, all is good.

I tried this home testing 14 times last night with a negative result every time for Covid.

Have woken up this morning with a headache and i feel like i am coming down with something.
Will be doing more testing when i get home from work this afternoon just to be on the safe side.

When I lost my sense of smell for 6 weeks from working (outside) with MDF I found it profoundly affected my sense of taste. I distinctly remember cracking a beer and not smelling it but it tasted of the smell of sewage. I have not tasted sewage although I have come close being a sepctic tank cleaner for a house rental business in the 1960s so I have a real good idea of how it smells. Apples tasted like onions and coffee also tasted bad.

I lost weight during those 6 weeks because I found I could not each much.

The same applies with port.
Just sip from a medicine glass and no one will notice. :D
