I joined because i like forms better than facebook.
I am setting up from scratch to make things from plywood.
I will start with a good cart/workbench and tools and go from there.

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Pete".... and Merry Christmas....
There are a stack members around Melbourne and cross Victoria plus the rest of the country.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.

Thanks. I have actually been around woodworking for decades and completed heaps of wood working projects, but always kind of considered it building. I have a 9m x 9m shed and i have half built a work shop within it, but more aimed at cars and storage. Half of this space is already lined. The wife wants me to fit out all the wardrobes and cupboards with a ply based shelving/organiser. I hope she doesnt work out the cost of building a workshop and a new tools is not going to be faster or cheaper than calling some one in to do it :) But it will be a lot more fun!

Hi Pete, welcome to the forum. What's good about this forum is the wealth of experience that the members have and willingly share. Also you can do searches of previous posts and find a lot of good info. My experience with FB and YouTube is there is no quality control on what some of the absolute tuggers post.
Rgds,
Crocy.
