Hi all
Like many new members here, I got into woodworking during Covid. When the first lockdown hit, I started oil painting. Then I quickly realised that it was getting expensive buying canvas, so I bought a cheapo mitre saw to make my own. From there it quickly progressed to making my own floating canvas frames and soon after I found that I've got the tools for basic woodworking and started making cabinets for my house.
Now I've gotten more into hand tools and I get equal enjoyment from hunting & restoring old tools, working slowly with them, and the end product.
I moved from Malaysia 8 years ago and back home there was no DIY woodworking culture, so to my friends & families' eyes I am considered an awesome artisan woodworker even with my very basic skills :D
I have been lurking here for years but I hope to learn & participate more from all of you.
