Moving into a rental in a few weeks and I've noticed none of the rooms have fly screens on the windows. I want a simple solution that I can install on one window in each of the bedrooms at least. I've made the bunnings aluminium kits myself before but they take time to cut the edges, prepare the frames etc. Is there a better option for sash timber windows that won't cost the earth as it is a rental. Thanks

Ask through your agent if they could be supplied and fitted at no cost to you. At the very least bathroom, kitchen and one other room.

The tracks an screens from Bunnings are not very expensive, tho I can’t remember of hand.
There not too difficult to put together.
I’ve made a few in the past when I’ve done work for rental agencies.
Tho I’m surprised the landlord said no.

Yes I’ve built those before, just thought there might be other options out there better suited to sash windows perhaps
