I picked these drawers up with some books yesterday for $5. The intent was to use them as a pattern for more drawers using some nice wood.
I'd appreciate some help estimating the age, wood type, handle names and where to get them.
Once the wood painting is done I'll probably tape up and then paint the dandles black. Photo's as follows:
1. Front as found
2. Front sanded
3. Front painted
4. Top as found
5. Top painted
6. Drawer grain
7. Drawer handle
8. Side as found
9. Side painted
10. Locking mechanism in open position for drawers to be used
11. Locking mechanism in closed position for drawers to be secured
12. Drawer showing slot where locking mechanism passes through

I've been told it is hoop pine :)

I've only ever used construction grade Hoop Pine. None of it has been quarter sawn slow growth looking stuff like that.
