When typing a post or reply on the forum, how do I put a line through the middle of the text if I want to ?

As in Its crossed out but still readable .

Is it a keyboard thing in front of me or something I select in the message box tools in this picture ?

Thanks . Rob

Putting text in S brackets will strike it out

Though the button is only available in the advanced editor, you can still manually type the S brackets in the "quick reply" section.

Manually type in by pressing what ? A key on the keyboard?

{ {This} ?

[ [or this] ?

( (or)) ?

Edit . None of them obviously :)

use the opening square bracket [
type the letter command, to cross out text s -- for strike through
the type the closing square bracket ]

so to "strike out text" type [ s ] (but leave out the spaces) where you want the strike out to commence
and type [ / s ] (again leave out the spaces) for where you want to strike out to stop.
