Small electric hoist - advice re practicality please

Hi. We are building a house and are up to the stage of fitting out the top floor. In order to avoid carrying endless quantities of screed mix, tiles and flooring etc upstairs, I want to set up a hoist on a swinging gib and lift stuff up to the top floor balcony.

Not necessarily those ones but in the same quality bracket. I know they are low-end quality but if they last long enough to finish the job then fine - well worth while.

I want to fit them to a 90mm round steel post on the balcony (see the image). It is bolted to an RSJ at the bottom and the timber balcony superstructure at the top. If the arm swings out and the hook is lowered it would be perfectly positioned above the tray of a ute in the driveway.

I am thinking of limiting it to about 50kg per lift to prevent damage and over-stressing things. Anyone operating it would need to wear a safety harness - I have two good ones on site.

My questions are two:

1. Is there some reason why this might be a dumb idea? I have no experience with these things so I might be overlooking something.

2. What would be the best/easiest way to fix the gib arm to that 90mm post. The various brands available appear to come with fittings to attach to 48mm scaffold poles. I was hoping there might be some easily adaptable fitting that I could purchase. I had a look in the hardware store at things like post stirrups etc but there was no obvious contender.

can't advise on the practicalities, but don't get conned by ebay - the big green shed does that swing arm (https://www.bunnings.com.au/gorilla-1100mm-hoist-swing-arm_p0036288) for $30 less. I have a coupe of their hoists too - one lighter weight version that hauls a bar carrying our five bikes to their nesting place on the ceiling, and the 500kg one which I rig up to haul heavy machinery like the slider and jointer up my steep drive. All have worked well - had the bike one for several years.
