Can anyone tell me, do you need a 3 yearly medical to renew a HC licence in WA?
I was watching an ep of Outback truckers and the guy was having what he said was a licence renewal medical.
I know that the F class requires a medical but does the HC do too now?
Cheers

I don't believe you have to have a medical but you do need to declare in advance of any medical conditions as soon as you are are diagnosed.
It's all on the DOT website.
Then based on what you declare they might ask for more info from your medical practitoner or specialist.
I do this for a regular and HR licences as I have diabetes.
It's an offence not to declare any medical condition and fines may apply if they find out
Worse than any fine is if you subsequently end up in an accident, then the proverbial could hit the impeller as the other parties lawyer will use this as a giant sledge hammer even if you are not at fault.

You have t take into account with shows like Out Back Truckers and Axe Men are just that just TV shows and bare little resemblance to real life.

Dunno - in some cases real life is waaaay worse than reality TV shows eg that drug addled guy that ran into and killed that group of roadside cops that had stopped an equally foolish driver from going to get sushi.
