Morning all, I知 Rowan, from Melbourne. My partner is the more woodwork inclined of the two of us, (the dogs not much use either) but I like to learn and make projects so here I am, hoping the collective pool of knowledge here will save me some time consuming or expensive mucking around

I like to sew, and to take apart knitting machines, and lots of small handwork type crafts :) I hope some of that adjacent knowledge might come in handy to help someone.

I知 chronically online so I do reply fast, but since I知 new I知 still in moderation! So I hope you will be patient with me :)

Hello,

Welcome to join this forum. I am also a new member of this forum, hopefully we can get a lot of benefits and share knowledge among members.

Can you make sequins from Japanese pearls like MGB (Matsuno Glass Beads (https://www.istanamote.com/id/mgb/))? Because I'm learning it and always fail.

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Rowan"....
There are a stack members around Melbourne and cross Victoria plus the rest of the country.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork.....
Cheers crowie

PS - Watch out for local Melbourne get togethers, great way to meet like minded forum members & network...

Thanks Crowie! I do love to see a project with photos too! In terms of equipment we池e basic hand tools and a drop saw, but I致e seen some amazing projects with only basic tools and I知 keen to learn to use them properly.
