Reveneered an old harp dresser awhile ago, heat glued white oak veneer,my work space is a unheated old hay barn, looked good after I brought it 490259490260490261 n the house things wrinkled, winter and summer here are cold and humid and hot and humid,if had to venture a guess ...I never did veneer before...I am thinking that the veneer being applied with an iron, when done was of course low in moisture, the dresser being in a barn for some time may have high in moisture content and when brought into the controlled environment of the house it dried and shrank while the veneer probably picked up moisture and swelled and since veneer is thin bent and wrinkled.is this a possibility or am” I barking up the wrong tree?”
