In keeping with the spirit of the upcoming season I changed my avatar to that jolly gentleman in red, only to have removed.
This is PC gone mad, and Mr Bracks said we could practise the pursuit of this particular gentleman in schools without being persecuted.
Replaced with a light globe indeed.

I can't agree - I've never found the devil to be thought of as particularly jolly
In the paper after Brack's pronouncement there was a follow up piece with the Jewish, Buddist and Muslim speaking heads. They all said something along the lines of "we don't care, we all celebrate in our own way - and if its out for Christians then it'll be out for us as well". Personally I detest parts of Christmas - i.e. "jolly Xmas carols" being piped through the shopping centre PA's for 6 weeks prior. Other than that, the "each to there own except when it hurts others" Aussie concept is in the best tradition of a tolerant society.

Maybe just a wee bit over the top for the forum in general. Yes I know it's already got a wee bit over the top, maybe that's the problem, only a wee bit over the wee bit. :D

I'm glad you kept your T on also, else you would end up as "ikki" and I feel sure that would not do you justice at all.:D
