Maximum cargo overhang to side of vehicle

Hi. I have a Ute and wish to transport some wide objects. I want to check the maximum permissible overhang to each side. This is in Nsw

Googling delivers some contradictory results. This document suggests 150mm either side (measured from the body, not mirrors or any other projection).

Can anyone confirm whether this is the current regulation in force?
