Hi, not sure if this is just me.

but when viewing any thread the forum doesn't take me to the latest post, instead it just opens the thread from the beginning. i did search through my settings but couldn't find anything.

just makes it hard sometimes to work out where you left off reading a thread sometimes

Go to Settings,
In the My Settings left hand sidebar box go to General Settings
Scroll down to Thread Display Options
You want the section Thread Display Mode; select Linear - Newest First

Clicking on the icon circled in Red will take you to the first new post in the thread and the icon circled in Blue will take you to the last post in the thread

this is kind of what i'm after.

i must just be used to other forums where you still scroll "down" through to newer posts, rather then having the newest at the top. but clicking the thread title will take you the last post you scrolled to, leaving you to scroll through the rest of the new posts

this is it what i'm after, just it was made the default setting when you click the thread title, not the sneaky little dot beside it

Going to the last post can be a problem in a large, active thread, as there could have been a lot of relevant posts you missed before the last one.

Can also be a real pain in the but if you go to the last post in a new fast evolving thread, as you won't have any idea what it's all about.

Your other option may be to subscribe to any thread you have an ongoing interest in.

Cheers :U

Yeah that's a pain. There is a New Posts option available though.
