Hullo everyone, I'm a Scottish cold weather refugee living in Perth. Been having wood working dreams on and off for the last couple of years and just decided that it's time to dip my toes in the water.

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Andy".....
There are quite a few members in Perth and across West.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork..
Cheers crowie

Haha, good question Bob, I guess a lot of folks just assume I must've been born in 2004, or worse I suppose that I actually am 2004 years old! The truth is actually a lot more mundane than that. A long time ago I created an email address with a certain web based email provider and couldn't get my own name (I always arrive late to parties :)) andye2004 was the name suggested by their automated naming assistant so I went with it.
