Hello Everyone,
Excited to be a member here after lurking for awhile and trying to read and learn all I can. The local knowledge seems invaluable.
I'm slowly getting a few tools together and creating a suitable work shop area, but cant wait to start.
Now I just need to actually finding some decently priced hardwoods and ply so I can start creating.
Cheers.

Thanks for the welcome everyone.
Welcome,
What sort of things do you want to build?
I’m planning on starting with some more basic items like chopping boards, serving trays and small boxes while I build my skills and get comfortable with more advanced techniques. Would like to ultimately build some speakers, turntable plinths and maybe something like this;
Mountainscape Cabinet Build (For Sale!) - YouTube (https://youtu.be/5C7Ieq28oFA)
but that seems like a long way off.

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum.
There are quite a stack members around Melbourne and cross Victoria plus the rest of the country.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork.....
Cheers crowie
PS - Watch out for local Melbourne get togethers, great way to meet like minded forum members & network; once the lockdown has finished of course...

Welcome. Start small, and have fun on the way, you'll be building "fancy" stuff before you know it.
