G'day
After lurking on this site for a few months I figured it was time to jump in.
I have been a tinkerer and DIY'er my entire life. From a very young age, I used to sneak into my dad's workshop to use some of his tools even when I wasn't supposed to. Whether working with metal or wood, aside from a powered drill, it was hand tools all the way until well into my late teens. To this day I conceive far too may projects than time available permits to bring to fruition, however, having accomplished some of life's milestones, I welcome more free time to devote to fiddling in the workshop. In working with wood I do admit to finding the use of hand tools more and more appealing these days.
Also, I hope to contribute to the discussions here in appreciation of the vast body of knowledge generously shared on this forum.
Cheers
