Hi Guys,

Finally registered after having readposts from the forum for a couple of years - slow starter huh. 55 and been in and out of wood from my teens - basically whenever the family needed furniture or part of the house built. Old 3 phase Wolfenden etc gear in the shed - too old to find specs on. This morning tring to find out how many pumps from a grease gun to load the bearings of my old Wolfenden bandsaw with before putting the table back on after a good clean....

Recently been making toys with the kids, hope to get the dining room table done before christmas, stacks of organisation to do in the shed along with a decent bench to make, would love to try some power carving and have a couple of tree trunks to learn on.

Looking forward to chatting more personally with other woodies.

Best,
Adam

Welcome to the forum. It looks like you have plenty of space there to play in and you've got some heavy duty equipment that you will never wear out.
I hope we get to see some of your handywork in the future.

Cheers,

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Adam".
There are quite a stack members around Melbourne and cross Victoria plus the rest of the country.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork.....
Cheers crowie

PS - Watch out for local Melbourne get togethers, great way to meet like minded forum members & network...

PLEASE post your toys in the toymaking section Adam!!

Enough time for another career Rudy. How good we be at this in another 20 years....? My dad is 80 and still hammering away in his workshop :)

Thanks for the welcome Dallas. It's certainly old gear. Was the old Box Hill Tafe which shut down and as Dad was an old chippie I made an effort to rescue it. Been in storage the last 3-4 years as I've been building our house and only now out as I set up shop. Next step is to get a resaw blade made for the band saw. Cheers mate, A
