Jow104 reporting in, used to be active in the Box making forum section, with AlexS, Sturdee and many others.
If any member cares to respond to this posting Janet & John would love to hear from you all, hope all members here of 2004 era are keeping well and naturally all the members of this forum as well.
Janet and I are now both 83 this year and keeping well for our ages and hopefully will come through the Pandemic hitting the world at this time. We made our last visit to OZ 2007 and those that know we had great assistance after a serious accident from many of the members with accomodation and assistance of which Janet & I still are still truly thankful. So thankyou for visiting the forum posting and best wishes to all.

Hi JOW, I don't think you'll remember me, but I used to like reading your posts and definitely seeing your work. Are you still making boxes or are you resting for the moment.
Best Regards,
Rob

Unfortunately I decided to stop with my hobby of woodwork when I started to loose my concentration bearing in mind I wasa working with machinery, also my projects usually started with and idea and not obtaining outline plans. Measurements required to work on were mainly held by memory and some items started to fail, plus finding the energy to make an item usually started by having purchased boards of 10" x 2" and then working them to clean usable pieces.
Lost a few buddies hear but hoping some are like me just resting for the moment. Anyone heard from Rob & Meg down at Tolmey way outside of Melbourne?.
Thanks for your response Rob.

Hello Ian, thanks for the acknowledgement, I recall the barbecue and all the local members of the forum coming (cannot remember the town) including with his hand built caravan and bathtub sticking out of the side, Rob and others, one guy who was building his home with straw bales, and Jesus, he put my wife off staying the night on your horse farm. Thanks for the friendship of you all. Keep well in Canada.
