I've already used liquid silicon to make a mold for the item circled.
Wondering if anyone might have an issue with me casting with West System 105 Epoxy Resin and 205 Hardener.
I've measured the volume with water displacement of 100ml. The other pic is the calculation for 1:5 ratio. I haven't found anything about the resin expansion.

What is the item that you are casting? It looks like a clamp for something?

It's the first bit that bolts into the clamp.
It's the weakest point.

I would add a bit of fibreglass into the mix to add strength to it. It may hold without it but I would add the fibreglass for sure.
West systems isn’t a casting resin as such, it may get too hot as it cures even though the volume is small. Another reason to add the fibreglass.
