View Full Version : Important "Token Expired" preventing posts many times a day

I'm working from memory here and will try to take a screenshot the next time it happens, but several times a day I get the message:
"Your submission can't be processed because the Token has expired
Go back and reload the page"

which does precisely bugger all to fix the problem. What I have to do is click "Reply" again, restore the autosaved content, Ctrl A, Ctrl C (just for safety), go to Settings, Subscribed Threads, select the thread, and finally reply by Ctrl V.

This has been going on for 2-3 months, anything up to 6 times a day. Patient, ain't I? :innocent:

I only ever see this when I am tardy in replying. You have literally always had a timeout for a page with vbulletin, so if you haven't refreshed that page (to get a new valid token assigned) then you can't post. Maybe the limit is shorter after some recent work (although I doubt it), or maybe your "Katoomba temperature" thread requires long thought out responses and so you see this more often because of that ?

Hmmm  Well I do get it nearly every morning, but also at random times during the day (maybe after I've S.T.F.U. for a while :D)
BUT
this never used to happen under those circumstances. It's a recent thing.
Ahhhh - maybe it's because I've just been camped in that thread and rarely go to settings because I'm not too active in any other threads......

Anyhoo, I'll refresh the screen in the morning (coz I never sign out - can't be fagged) and every now and then during the day.

or maybe your "Katoomba temperature" thread requires long thought out responses and so you see this more often because of that ?You must be joking poundy...I just say the first thing that comes into me head - ask around, there's a few that'll verify that :; (funny how the thread has progressed apace when there's no noise to fend off....)

Global warming. It may be responsible for a great many things Hugh (including Richard Cranium breeding) but I'm pretty sure it's not responsible for this.
