Bought this last week and have given it a bit of a workout. I use it to hold parts while I'm soldering and so far it has been great.

I nearly bought the cheaper Chinese version but couldn't wait for 4 weeks (or longer ) for it to arrive.
Bought it off eBay for $50 delivered (Chinese version was about half that). It was sent overnight, which was a bit of a welcome surprise.
It's all metal construction and really good quality. The vice jaws are removable, hardened steel. 75 mm wide and open to 70 mm. It comes with 2 slip on soft jaws that fit snugly over the steel jaws.
The clamp that holds it onto the table is substantial and can fit on to a 60 mm thick bench top. The ball and socket joint locks down solidly and is also quite substantial.
I'm really impressed with this and glad I didn't go for the cheaper version. Highly recommended. If you have a use for one of these I don't think you will be disappointed with the quality of this one.
The higher end version of this is the Panavise and while these are very good, a basic unit will cost you well over $100.
