Hi all,

I'm getting back into woodworking, so great to see this forum is still going strong. It looks like I joined in 2004, and at the time did a bit of woodworking and made a few wooden kayaks. Then life got in the way, as it does. Managed to dabble a bit through wooden model ship building and various DIY projects.

But getting back into it, through a combination of having moved out of the city so I have a decent shed now, deciding I'd rather focus on life and interests than career, and also lucky enough to have received some decent hand-me-down tools from my father who did some great woodturning and furniture.

So the stars have aligned to allow me to get back into it, with the first job being getting the workshop set up and organised then able to bring some ideas to fruition. Hoping I can join a club too, seems to be active ones in Ballarat and Bendigo so I'll be checking them out. Will aim to contribute here too.

Alongside creative stuff I'll have plenty of indoor and garden projects, still building models, also back into homebrewing and gardening. Should keep me busy outside of work!

Happy woodworking,
Darren

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Darren".
There are quite a stack members around Melbourne and cross Victoria plus the rest of the country.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork......
Cheers crowie
