Hi guys,
My name is Josh Marks, but I'm also known by the alias/brand of Hardwood Tides.
I've lurked the forums for about 6 months now, and wanting to be a more active member of the woodworking community have registered today.
I am a woodworking resin artist from Murrumba Downs on Brisbane's northside.
I've been working with timber since I was a kid in my Dad's shed but have been seriously creating timber and resin artworks (surfboards and skate decks) since 2016.
Some of you may have recognised my stingray piece 'Flight' which won People's Choice for the Wootha Prize at the Maleny Wood Expo 2019. This was the first true 'sculptural' timber and resin art piece I had taken on.
I am constantly learning new ideas, techniques, tips, tricks and lessons in timber and resin all the time, but I hope I can return the favour to many here, especially with my resin experience.
Thanks to all of you for contributing to such a great online forum such as this.
