Tomorrow morning, the size of my present under the Xmas tree will tell if I've been a good boy or not!

Merry Xmas Yvan

It's a boy thing, this is a real 4WD ute or pick up truck.

It is in Western Australia and that is its real licence plate. :D

Whatever the size of them vehicles, no boy could be so good over a whole year as to receive one of these!! No way...
And, in any case...the wouldn't fit under a Xmas tree!! :D:D:D

Sorry mates. It is just an F-150. Here in the US, the UTEs as you call them have replaced the sedan for family vehicles. The improvements that have occurred over the last 40-50 years have made the UTE a most comfortable everyday, everywhere vehicle. Coming back from Las Vegas on I-15 there was a group of us hitting about 150 KPH for a couple of KM before we realized it. I looked at the speedometer and muttered a "Holy Poop!" as I slowed and moved into the slow lane. Most of the group did the same.

The group is not an organized thing. It is just that on long drives people tend to group up based upon how they drive. It is weird, but driving across the country when you fall into one of these groups you just want to keep driving. Everyone of a like mind and driving style grouping up together makes the drive so simple.

My F-150 rides better and handles like a sports car of the 1970s. It has truly become our family (sedan) vehicle.

So Yvan, did you get a big toy or a little toy?

We are all wondering at your silence.

Mick.

Perhaps he is reading the owners manual for the Tonka toy

My Xmas present?

Now, let me think.....Actually 2 of them, both small I'm afraid !!!!!!!!!!!!

#1 = Mortise & Tenon magazine subscription
#2 = 4" double square from Mr Vesper

The Minister for Everything - aka SWMBO - suggested that if I may have thought receiving a big box under the tree
a) it wouldn't be in the spirit of things and b) I should get it myself:D

Despite what could be seen as contrary evidence I still believe that I was a good boy Your Honour....with mitigating circumstances!

Cheers Yvan

What "mitigating circumstances"
Although physically small I wouldn't dare sneeze at either of your gifts

A bit of advice here. When SWMBO says "Do whatever you want" doesn't necessarily mean Do whatever you want.

...and even if it does, it really means "Do whatever you want, and be prepared for the consequences, which will be unpleasant and long-lasting."

Funny that!
"...Do whatever you want..." seems to carry the same message everywhere
