hi,

I have an 8' 1930's Oak, 2 piece dining table, joined down the middle .
it has had a little water damaged and in storage for a few years.
it's now bowed slightly in the concave. and some slight splitting.
after searching Mr Google and here. trying to find the right/easiest solution.
I've gone with the wet towel/batten/clamp option.
now my question is, do you place the wet towel on the concave or the convex of the bow.

or another options.

thanks in advance

On the concave side. The cells on this side have shrunk more than the convex side. Moisture replacement will help re expand the shrunken cells.
