How's it going and hello!

Found this forum when I was trawling the net, great to see an Aussie centric forum and thought it best to pop in and do the intro thing :-)

I'm currently figuring out the best way replace some tired King Slide draw runners on a customised bathroom cabinet (has a basin on-top of it).
The top draw gets the most use and doesn't close properly anymore.
I'm thinking of swapping the bottom runners for the top ones (as a quick fix).
I do wonder if the runners are any good (fit for purpose) or if I should upgrade them.

A little bit about me - I'm from Perth, live out in the hills.
Most people call me Boof.
Been a sparky since the mid 90's and a project manager for 10 years now (wow I forget it's been that long! Regularly miss being on the tools, you know, grass is always greener and all that jazz).

Have a long list of DIY jobs to do at home including plenty of woodwork, there's no doubt I'll be reading and appreciating the knowledge found here.

Thanks for reading :-D

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Boof".
There are a stack of members in Perth and surrounds plus the rest of the country.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork.
Cheers crowie

PS - Please give that beautiful cabinet it's own thread with some more photos in either general or furniture....

Sorry King slide means nothing much (pics would help more) However if there is about 12.5 mm free on the sides the cheap (and durable) full extension ball race runners cost not much more as apposed to soft close that might require new drawer boxes and be $30+per unit rather than something less than $10 Will far outlast any nylon wheel types. Can also be gotten in self close format as well. slightly more expensive.
