I am curious to know if any one is familiar with
the "Chidori Japanese Joint" and how to make
the cuts.

YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Sj-0i2JhwI) seems to have a simple enough process to lay it out

G'Day & Welcome to the Great Southern Land and to a top forum,
There are quite a few members from the "USA" plus "canuck" members but I think you're the first I've welcomed from Barbados....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork.....
Cheers from On Top DownUnder, crowie

PS - May I suggest that you start a new thread in General section to gain a wider audience for your question....

I've got a book on Japanese joinery at home. I'll have a look tonight, see if it has this

Google tells me "Chidori" is a general word for the joints (and a word for the interlocking-bars toy)

Google for "Chidori system" lots of interesting results. Even a link here
