Hey All

I am at the finishing stages of three jewelery boxes I have made from bloodwood and am trying to decide on how to finish them.

The grain pattern is fantastic so I really do not want to colour them and I am afraid of making them look plastic with a shiny poly because the wood is so dense.

Any ideas?

I like UBeaut's White Shellac for a good finish that doesn't colour the wood.

organol or wax or both....

I'm with Wendy's solution: uBeaut White Shellac; let it harded for few days, the EEE followed by uBeaut traditional wax - if that's to 'shiny', a quick buff back with EEE will do the trick.

Cheers!
