I have started the Ubeaut forums online melbourne cup sweep.
To select your number go to this website Some Random number thingy (http://www.ndec.us/RandomSample.asp) and put the number 24 in the first box and take your number from Random Sample Student 1: - of course you have to make sure it isn't already taken. And since I thought of it I went first and came up with (and in a show of my integrity it wasn't Number 1!!) .......
Number 12 Dizelle

The only thing I've heard about this race thing, (I live in a bubble) was that someone reckoned they ought to sprinkle the track to make it fair for this pommy horse?
How does that work?

She was conceived in Ireland and born in Britain on 21st March 1999. Unable to find a buyer at a British yearling sale, she was brought to Australia along with her dam.

We've got 4 TB's here, why would I put money into some I don't own???
They are all failed racehorses but excellent showjumpers and cross country eventers, the last event we went in we had to pay $50 to get in, $80 in fuel, another $50 for food for us for the day and we won $20 for second place.
I love winning :o

As a postscript to this sweep, last night I was in a small syndicate which picked up On a Jeune and Xcellent in a melbourne cup calcutta. After selling On a Jeune and buying Xcellent at 50% of the auction price we have now paid $20 each (5 of us) for a chance to win $4200 if the nag comes home!!! Here's hoping!!

Well from my perspective, (all alone in my lonely room, day after dayayayyyyy), that just goes to prove how effective random number generators are in picking winners.
On the other hand, there are 23 others who don't think they work all that well.
They work for me!!
