Morning all,
my name is Gorm, I am pretty much a woodturning beginner.
Had a small lathe, but just upgraded to a teknatool 1000 / 8.

I learned that this machine was built in NZ and the company does not make them any more.

I`m missing a few bits and pieces,
(for example the little leavers, that clamp onto the adjustment screws
and would really like to get a copy of the original owner`s manual)
can anybody help, or at least point me in the right direction ?

Also, one technical question: when running the machine (just idling)
the right hand bearing area gets HOT, while the left one just gets warm.
I guess this is an indication that the bearings should be replaced ?

Would appreciate your comments

Gorm

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Gorm"...
There are quite a stack members around Brisbane and cross South East Queensland plus the rest of the country.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork......
Cheers crowie

PS - May I suggest you start a new thread in the machinery section and or the woodturning section to gain a wider audience and thus more specific responses....
