Hi, My name is Peter.
I'm a beginner woodworker but I've picked up the pace lately, my wife works in the funeral industry and when their temporary grave marker maker left the business she volunteered me to make the crosses. I didnt mind because I have always enjoyed the limited opportunity to work with wood. It also gave me the justification to buy the equipment I want. An extra bonus is my son has become involved so we are learning together.
So far we have been making jigs to speed up our work flow and trying to organise the workshop to cater for our equipment, so far I have a sherwood 10' table saw, dust extraction, sherwood thicknesser and a hafco drum sander. I also want to buy a bandsaw and a belt sander.
With our cut offs and waste wood we are making cutting boards and a few other bits and pieces.
I will be looking for advice and learning what I can where I can so looking forward to meeting everyone.
Peter.
