No wonder it is not cooked.
That's only 60 degrees. In my non metric oven though it would be 140. :?

as an obnoxious teenager my mum once! asked me to look at the fruit cake in the oven, being a good lad?? I did so, 10 minutes later she is doing her nut about the burnt ruined fruit cake...."I thought I asked you to look at it?" "Yeah, I did, could see it was cooked but didnt know what to do so left it." :D

My grandfather was a pastry chef. I inherited his recipe book. When I was a teenager I decided to try and make marshmallows. It would have been fine except I didn't take proper note of the quantities. It was after all a COMMERCIAL cooking book. The penny started to drop when I'd filed and covered every baking apparatus in the kitchen...and I was about half way through the mixture....
