I don't have a workshop nor even a shed but I have some basic tools and enjoy making things -- recent 'improvised' projects include a dollhouse, treehouse, chicken coop, deck stairs and cajon (Peruvian drum). What I'd most likely post on a forum such as this are questions about how to do stuff, which tools people recommend and where to source materials. So my first question is, have I come to the right place? :)
Cheers!

Yes - welcome aboard.
Post some photos of your projects when you get a chance.

Thank you. Which would be the appropriate forum for woodworking queries? (I say woodworking but I'm not so much crafting wood as putting pieces together to make the above mentioned structures.)

This forum would be the best for your general enquiries. People will generally be helpful and this forum covers pretty much all wood working queries. Later you may want to diverge into other areas.

Rob

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum...
There are quite a stack members around Brisbane and cross South East Queensland plus the rest of the country.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork......

Thanks crowie. My handiwork tends to be ugly and functional but I shall indeed post some photos.

Beauty is in the I of the beholder, we are our own worse critics.
I’d love to see your dolls house in the toymaking section, please.
Cheers crowie
