Fred & Rodney have both passed.

Almost everyone who attended a Vic Forum GTG that had any bearing on wood-turning would know Fred & Rodney by sight. Well... by sound, anyway. :rolleyes: Although for health reasons they haven't been active socially or on these forums over the last couple of years.

I'm sorry to say that Fred (aka Gary) passed away at home last November and Rodney (Rodent) followed in the wee hours of this morning at the Nepean hospital.

They were an odd couple of blokes, loud & rough as guts but with hearts of gold and I, for one, am going to miss them sorely. For all their faults, they were good friends in every sense of the term and life will be less... interesting... without them.

Sorry to hear of their passing. I did not know Fred (aka Gary) but have met Rodney (Rodent) on a couple of occasions.
We have lost five members of our club in recent times which is concerning but inevitable.
