Re.: Concerns about Compliance with OSHA Prohibitions against Retaliation
I am concerned about how the recent situation is being handled. Unless I am unaware of additional information or documentation related to this matter, I recommend that we revisit the situation related to this matter, and seek technical assistance to ensure that we have not made any errors in violation of laws that prohibit unlawful retaliation.
We share a strong commitment to the consistent application of all policies as well as legal compliance with all relevant city, state, and federal laws related to E&OE laws. I know we share a commitment to prevent liability exposure as well as personal liability exposure.
The resources below are free and available to us to use at any time. My membership in the School of HK’s provides free information, white papers, case-law information, and cutting-edge research capabilities along with toolkits for how to best handle E&OE and SH-related issues. I recommend that we use these resources in the future to ensure legally complaint decision-making processes related to E&OE and SH issues.
1 All pipe is to be made of a long hole, surrounded by metal or plastic centered around the hole.
2 All pipe is to be hollow throughout the entire length. Do not use holes of different length than the pipe.
3 The I.D (Inside diameter) of all pipe must not exceed the O.D (Outside diameter) otherwise the hole will be on the outside.
4 All pipe is to be supplied with nothing in the hole so that water, steam or other stuff can be put inside at a later date.
5 All pipe to be supplied without rust – this can be more readily applied at the job site
6 All pipe over 153m (500ft) in length should have the words “Long pipe” Painted on each end, so that the contractor will know it is a long pipe.
7 Pipe over 3.2km (2 miles) in length must also have the words “long pipe” painted in the middle, so that the contractor will not have to walk the entire length of the pipe to determine weather or knot it is a long pipe.
8 All pipe over 150mm (6” ) in diameter must have the words “Large Pipe” painted on it so the contractor will not mistake it for a small pipe.
9 When ordering 90 degree, 45 degree or 30 degree elbows, be sure to specify right or left hand, otherwise you could end up going the wrong way.
10 Be sure to specify to your vender whether you want level, uphill or downhill pipe. If you use downhill pipe for uphill use, the water will flow the wrong way.
11 All couplings should have either right or left hand threads, but do not mix the threads otherwise, as the coupling is being screwed on one pipe it is unscrewing from the other end

When I was a kid the council dug a ditch along the side of the road running past our farm. There was a ditch in the paddock that was rendered redundant by the new ditch. Dad told me that he would probably dig it up and saw it into lengths for post holes.

Attached is an OSHA approved hole to be used for pipes but not for tubes.

As I keep telling visitors, and for those who are not from Victoria, MMBW stands for The Melbourne and Metropolitan Board of Works. Now known as Melbourne Water. They are responsible for Melbourne's fresh water supply and sewage system. So yes they do take a lot of S#*%.

Only the Victorian Government would consider putting those two diverse responsibilities under the control of the one body. :oo:

Ooooh Doug. I hope they don't get them mixed up. Are the pipes different colours? Or is it only the surround that is a different colour? The inside would be fairly transparent unless it was full of something. I do know some people like that. But that is a bit deep.

Regards
Paul

Set up in the 1890's. I bet you don't give either a thought when you fill the kettle or drink bottle, or push the button.

I don’t that’s such an issue liquids are liquids,
The bigger problem Doug is that some of the pipes carrying the waste liquids.
Have obviously been re routed to Canberra.
We’re there seems to be a lot effluent come out of one area[emoji849].

Cheers Matt.

Um, Queensland ? and I'm pretty sure Sydney if not NSW.

But we weren't satisfied with that. Once under the control of a collection of councils Anna Bligh's government decided a separate bloated unaccountable bureaucracy should be formed and populated with labor mates.

Water and sewer charges have ballooned.

I happen to live next to Brisbane's principle water supply and whereas we had half a dozen people and a couple of old utes now we have about 40 staff and about 20 new cars. They have just spent 3 years painting the pipes, I guess no one told them pipes usually rust from the inside.

Sort of like Washington D.C. :)

At first it was a small groan but as I thought about it.... Hilarious.

It's the Capital of Australia, which is a joke in itself. Australia has plenty of Oil Gas and other commodities, but it can't really be measured properly because the Dipsticks are in Canberra.

Do not blame us Canbrra-ites. You lot elect them and send them here so we have to live with your dross.

The joke is, yes we have gas and coal, but no we can't have it as it is being exported.
The coal fired power stations are considered dirty and need to be closed down, but as yet there is no 100% replacement.

This applies in Victoria, other states might be different.

Interestingly, have a blackout here for the last 5 hrs, internet has never been so fast and responsive, almost as if I'm directly connected to every server for the sites I frequent
