I haven't done it and the options are certainly different to what I am used to using meaning no PP option. What is the best of the available options?

Unsure of what a "no PP" is, but I buy from both AliExpress and Alibaba every week.
It is awesome. Once you strike up a relationship they are great to deal with. Use the phone Aps, you often get extra discounts.
If they stiff you on the post (some Alibaba sellers insist on couriers and add a healthy margin) then use ShopAndShip.com and use the Chinese office.
This week alone Ive bought 8 seperate items including hinges, screws, drawer sliders, pfte tape, double sided tape, braided cotton and a whole bunch of microfibre cloths.

Ah! I just use a credit card. AliExpress are feral Nazis on their vendors. If they even get a whiff of shenanigans they support you 100%
I've felt their policies are heavy handed and downright anti-vendor, but they don't seem to have any shortage of take-up!
Buying on Alibaba is different. They are quite happy to do PayPal invoicing

I'm keen to grab a bunch of these for the workshop cabinets... could you list/link the brands you use on AliExpress/Alibaba?

I haven't bought anything this year but I last year i bought most of the bulk electronics (boxes. switches, connectors, plugs and sockets etc) for the dust particle counters and other sensors through Aliexpress. I just checked my account and have bought on average about a dozen items a year since 2014. I also bought things for the mens shed like a bulk order of the pressure sensors to check if the DC is running and the gates are open via Aliexpress. SWMBO buys many bulk amounts of sewing craft stuff via AE. A few months back she bought 2 dozen zips (for her handbag making activities) for the price of one zip at a local craft store.
No problems and generally spot on delivery times. Many of their shipping prices seemed to jump a lot in the last year so I must try the shopanddship method WP recommends.

I starting shopping on aliexpress this year. I found their shipping cheaper than amazon. For payment I use my Citibank plus debit master card. No foreign transaction fees. Most other charges 3% and I alwaya pay in us dollars. Mastercard gives the best exchange rate. Sometimes its as much as 5% better than the website. I only just put enough money in Citibank to cover what I buy. So little chance of being scammed.

I think my earlier post (http://www.woodworkforums.com/f43/buying-aliexpress-221522-post2088505#post2088505) might have been missed...
Can anyone recommend any hinge, screw, drawer slider brands they have used from AliExpress/Alibaba?
I'm keen to start fitting out my workshop and I was looking at using a combination of 'Goliath Standard/Heavy Duty Drawer Slides' from the B store.
At work, we predominately use Blum, with the occasional Hettich and Häfele hardware when required, but I don't want to be spending that kind of $$$ on workshop cabinet hardware...

I use Alipay - their version of PP. No issues with it.

Thanks Chris! :2tsup:
I have recently opened an account with Elraco as they have some great pricing on a number of products.
Was hoping to get drawer slide pricing like the Americans...
