I routinely use smiley's in posts, and typically have to go searching for the correct smiley to use.
The question is, can I make a selection of the most used smileys that I use, as opposed to having to troll through the library of smileys?

Unfortunately there isn't a way to have a private selection of smileys. However it may be easier to go to the smiley page and find the code for the ones you want to use get the code for each of the ones you use and save them as basic text file with pic of the smiley alongside. Codes all begin with : the examples I use here have a space between the colon and the rest of the code or will automatically turn into a smiley so....
: )) = :)) : U = :U : aussie5: = :aussie5: etc. etc. etc.
There is also another smiley site that members can use ubeaut.biz/smiles.htm (http://www.ubeaut.biz/smiles.htm)
If you're in a post and want to use a smiley from this site, open it in a new tab or you may lose the post you are working on.
Don't follow the instructions on that page they no longer work on this version of vBulletin and need to be updated.
To use the smileys on that page do the following:
Find smiley you want to use .
Hover mouse over chosen smiley
Right click and Copy Image Address
Return to your post
Click on Insert Image icon
Choose From URL and insert the copied url.
Uncheck the box next to Retrieve remote file and reference locall as per below:
Retrieve remote file and reference locally
Click
Ad it's DONE.... See >http://www.ubeaut.biz/woohoo.gif
Looks like a lot to do but only takes a few seconds. Woohoo above to 25 seconds from loading the page until it showed in the post. Homer too 15 seconds with page already loaded. http://www.ubeaut.biz/homer.gif
Hope this is of some help.
