Put a geck up 5years ago and used Scion, a Hardy product.
Had the deck coated with a seamless product..|Epoxy, flakes, polyurethane topping of 2 coats.
The bloke did a lousy job but the product has held up well. I managed to spill some Cabots natural decking oil in a few spots
and tried to clean it off with acetone. Some came off very well but one area has been eaten a little by the acetone, SWMBO not happy!
The whole deck needs to be re-coated because of the original poor job. I am wondering if a good quality paving paint will do the job and
if so wht surface preparation do I carry out as the current finish is, as I said, polyurethane.
Thanks in advance for your wise replies.
