I have been using 3M 7500 series mask for the past 2+ years.

In late October the plastic back strap finally broke and I cant get a replacement, therefore I decided to go full face to protect my eyes as well.

In NZ for Full Face 3M mask you can only get the 6800/6900 series from the safety shops, to get anything else ordered from the shops it will take about 2-3 months, 6800/6900 has 4 harness, 7800/7907s has 6 harness.

Based on the reviews I've read online, I decided to go with the 6 harness and bought it through one of the more reputable internet based retailer, a few weeks later the mask arrived.

I have not used the 4 harness system but after using my new mask for a few weeks, I must say, they didnt invent 6 harness for no reason.

as for heat/fogging - no issues with my new mask. it vents well and has speech diaphram, each time I use my mask it is between 2 - 3 hours. maybe because AKL is not too hot?

7907s comes in 1 size only. I was a bit worried because I have a very large head(circumference 63cm+/- 2cm) due to a medication condition I had when I was a child, but I worried too much. the 7907 fitted very well and has spare room for larger head.

possible improvement?
1. Cost. the 7907s costed $300 USD at the time of purchase. you cant put a price on your lung but $300 is a lot compare to the 7500 series, which is about $35 USD.
2. Need to vacuum my head before I take off the mask.

A side note, the 7907S is made in Japan.

here is a photo of the mask arriving.

I wont post the photo of me fitting it - you guys dont need to see me half naked do you :U

It has been quite hot in AKL and I get more sweat from my earmuff than the 7907s.

The ear muffler I use is a Leightning L0F.
