Is it possible to thin roofing silicon?
I just want to use it to make a couple of molds for soap making but I need it more pliable - I know thinning it will increase the cure time.
Cheers

What shape molds are you trying to make? I know when my wife was making soap she used to buy silicone cup cake molds.

Try the hobby or art shops. You can by a 2 part silicon for making moulds. You knead them together and mould them around the original, then you use them to make plaster casts. No reason why they wouldn't work for soap.

I just want some man size blocks of soap - I had six match boxes taped together which was close enough to the size I want.
I've looked in the shops for small silicone cake molds and can't find any - but I am regional Queensland.

being a woodworking forum could you not make a quick and dirty wooden mold and line it with a quick release material like waxed paper or freezer wrap?
