The highest incidense of suicide in Australia is in white males, aged 18 - 35.

But I agree with you. A hell of a lot of time and money is put into helping young people (as it should), but very little into over 40's.

Something troubling ya Cagey?

very big problem here in country Tasmania . I've had two very good friends , one male one female , in their mid 30's kill themselves and leave behind a family . Its very sad and I agree more should be done for other age groups AS WELL as what is being done for the younger generation .
One of these suicides I directly blame Marijuana for . Nobody can tell me that it is safe . It brought on a sever case of scizophrenia ( probably spelt wrong ) and yes of course this man must have been susseptible to it but it made it worse . Suicide and drug education both need more .
My 2 cents worth .
P.S. pls dont get this forum sidetracked onto dope

I have personally suffered recently (last 2yrs) with sever depression, this is one step away from suicide, even though I had a loving family around me, I have never, ever felt so alone and confused. Thankfully, with lots of support from family, friends and my doctors I am well on the road to a near normal life again. If you know anyone on anti-depressants, they're on them for a reason, they are horrible getting them into your system, and getting them out. Just listen to them, most of the time they just need someone to talk to, I know I did, and it does help.:)
