Hi guys & girls, I've often got technical issues in my building of furniture, etc. which I usually end up self-solving without ending up with a quality product (happy to share photos, usually take step-by-steps).

Keen to chase expert advice for upcoming projects.

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Wanga",
There are a stack of members in Brisbane & across S.E. Queensland plus the rest of the world.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork.
Cheers crowie

PS - Try a new thread in the specific subsection that you're looking for assistance as that'll get more views and thus more likely to get the assistance....

I'm wondering what the best forum would be to post for assistance in design aspects for a mechanical heavy timber project I am in the beginning stages of planning (an engineers mind would be a huge benefit).

Welcome to the forum.

Might I suggest posting in the General sub forum for your mechanical heavy timber project. If it is not in the right place the Admins or Moderators can move it. Just ask for help.
