I am currently living up in Mt Kembla and hadn't picked up a handplane in my life let alone all the other handtools.Decided to attend the Illawarra woodworking school to learn from someone who could teach me.I then ended up in NZ at the Centre for Fine Woodworking doing the Beginners Intensive.Had the best time of my life and got to meet some great people and see some amazing things.I may never be any good but i will have a great time trying to learn and apply.A big thankyou in advance to all the people who help all us newbies out.
cheers....Roy

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Roy".
There are a stack members across the Sydney area down into the Gong plus the rest of the country.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork......
Cheers crowie
PS - Keep an eye out for a get together at Katoomba and Camden for the wider Sydney basin forum members....great way to met & make friends.
