Hi all,
I'm a retired electronics engineer, and enjoy making things. Currently mainly involving metalwork for a vacuum system project, but the 2-storey workshop I'm doing this in was owner-built by me. In woodwork I'm self taught, and manage alright... mostly. But I'm sure I'll learn a lot here.

Actually I came to be here due to a metalworking problem I have just now. One of those 'don't have the necessary equipment, and also don't know how to do it' things.
Hadn't heard of this forum before (a shameful failure to google, I admit) and someone recommended it. Here: What did you buy today? Post your latest purchase! - Page 151 (http://www.eevblog.com/forum/chat/what-did-you-buy-today-post-your-latest-purchase!/msg1265327/#msg1265327)

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "TerraHertz".
There are a stack members across the Sydney area plus the rest of the country.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork......
Cheers crowie

PS - Keep an eye out for a get together at Katoomba & Camden for the Sydney area forum members.
Great way to met & make friends.
