Are you using Photobucket as your source?
If so, you picture posting will never work again until you pay a $399/year membership fee.
PB changes their Terms Of Service on June 27.
They can have the back of my hand.

Hi,
It is not me having problems, it is some posts with no pictures showing and the poster thinks they are there or there is a link to a thumb nail that is not active.

DuncanT requested "pictures please" for a post that I knew HAD pics and a quick check via iPhone shows that all of my pictures prior to this week have gone?

PS, I am not and have never used photobucket?

Just tried uploading some pics via the forum interface and they didn't go through.
Hovering over the red exclamation mark reveals: 500 [IOErrorEvent type="ioError" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="Error #2038"]
Hope that helps on the tech side. I'm guessing 500 refers to Error 500: Internal Server Error

This problem has been reported to the boffin boys - lots of reports everywhere on the forum.
Whilst we appreciate people posting about this, the quickest way to get the Admin Team's attention is to report it using the little triangle.
Hopefully it will be fixed soon.
I do know there was a brief outage this afternoon so something may have broken during that event.
BTW I looked at some of my older posts where I was using Photobucket all those pictures are still there, so Photobucket hasn't switched them off (yet).

People have reported they can't see photos in my posts BUT I can see them - weird.

Lappa I just looked at the last few photos I uploaded and I can see them as thumbnails below the post, but when I click on them the picture display box comes up and I get a spinning circle but the picture(s) won't load.
Are you seeing thumbnails or pictures within the text, if thumbnails do they display if you click on them.
I can't see thumbnails or pictures from other people.

Fred, from this iPad, which is what I used to post, it's exactly as I posted. Text, two pictures then text then pictures BUT when I go in with my iPhone, the pictures are missing- blank spaces

Thanks Lappa, just trying to get an idea of what is going on for the boffins, every bit of info helps I guess.

Problem has now been fixed this afternoon.
I have tested uploading and it is working as advertised and all pictures that were only showing as links now show again.
Fingers crossed.
Just for you Hugh:U

It seems that old photos that were uploaded during fault time are still missing, but if you upload new images now, they seem to appear fine.

Your report would be infinitely more useful with a link of where you see or don't see the problem crowie!!!!!

Well that stands to reason, the uploader wasn't working so you wouldn't expect to see them!

Hi Big Shed,
The "Picture(s) pleas." in post 18 was finger trouble not a stir.
Thanks for your eforts and also to those in the back room.

After uploading the image for the first time I was able to see it in the published post. But couple of hours later people noticed that image is missing. The whole storage of attachments also looked strange at that time - the latest uploaded images did not have preview.

Here's two.....
OK, all the posts in my daughters' new house were posted yesterday well before the problem started (mid afternoon). There are only 2 pictures I can see and they are in post #1 and they certainly show for me, as I would expect.

The other post by Keith_1, shows 1 picture ans links wich give an Invalid Attachment error. Inspecting the the links show they are both supposed to 153.jpg, which is the same photo that displays above the link. It may be that Keith tried to upload the same photo 3 times, if so that wouldn't work.

Maybe Keith can throw more light on this?
Edit:
Well that was much ado about nothing

Guys
Only one image.
Don't know what the other 2 are. I initially tried to insert image a few times earlier today before the picture problem was fixed. Maybe that. I had restored the initial text from previous tries ???
Regards
Keith
Thank you Keith, I will remove the other 2 links.

Must be something at your end, no other reports of missing pictures are coming in, maybe log out of the forum, shut down your computer and start it up again then log back in to the forum.
Let me know how you get on.
