Hi, I haven't been here for some time, but find myself in desperate need of help.
My house is a 1960's brick veneer with flat roof. The ceilings throughout are clear finish VJ T&G pine laid over painted oregon beams.
I can repaint the beams OK , but would like to keep the natural timber ceilings. The problem is that there is a tremendous amount of dust that filters through the T&G cracks.
I solved this in another house by using about 10 cartons of white acrylic and painting the lot, but that would mean painting over the natural timber. The only other option that might work is using a natural wax finish and painting it thickly into the joints.
any other thoughts or solutions would be really appreciated!
Thanks, Artifact
